Leichardt, The little Italy of Sydney

Leichardt, located at the Inner west of Sydney, just less than ten minutes drive from CBD is a specialty traditional Italian town in Sydney. The suburb is magnificent filled with traditional Italian restaurants and cafes. I highly recommend you to try a restaurant in Leichardt called 'Cafe Jolly.' You might find it little bit weird when you go there because the owner and chief are funnily Chinese. But don't get influenced by what you see because the food is absolutely brilliant! It is one of the busiest cafes in the area.
I highly recommend you go for the Atlantic Salmon, I think it is the best dish there, grilled Atlantic salmon with white sauce and gravy. All other dished are also just as fantastic and the price is very reasonable for what you get.
Atlantic Salmon and Seafood Risotto, my favourites!

Palm Beach and Northern Beaches

I recently went to one of the most private, well known and spectacular beaches in Sydney; Palm Beach. It is a great escape from the busy CBD for the weekend with the whole family. It is not really too far away from the CBD, about one hour drive will get you there from the depending on the traffic. Also you can enjoy a hearty fish and chips on the sand whilst enjoying the beautiful scenery of one of the most famous beaches in Sydney, on par with Bondi and Manly.
When we think of the Northern Beaches, we tend to think of Manly, but there are lot more beaches in that area Dee Why, Narrabeen, just to name a few. Visiting all the beaches in the Northern Beaches area is a fantastic way to spend your days, detoxing from busy city life! I highly recommend you to sit in any of the numerous cafes along the beach fronts, enjoy a cup of coffee and experience the Aussie Beach culture.

Oh and don't forget to get your tan on!

Feel that sea breeze!

Coffee is my life !

Are you a coffee addict? Looking for some good places to grab a coffee before work or school? Here are some recommendations for you guys !!
PABLO & RUSTY'S (Epping)

PABLO & RUSTY'S must be the one that I definitely recommend. It serves great coffee, a smooth, creamy coffee, the coffee is always in a perfect temperature, not too cold nor too hot! P&R produces stable and high quality coffee!
A hot chocolate & a cappuccino

As this place is small but it can get very busy, so be prepared to wait ! But don't worry, it's well worth it!

Don't forget to ask for a loyalty card!

Paddington Saturday Markets

If you like unique, handmade, interesting things, then this is the place for you! There are crafts, vintage clothing items, jewellery, household trinkets, and other local handmade products, and thats just the first few stalls! It's open every Saturday on Oxford Street in Paddington from 10am, and it gets pretty crazy, pretty quick.

The market itself, is located on an old church ground, so the location has some meaning to it for those that are interested, but in general the atmosphere is great. It's a nice place to shop for bargains or just window shop for some interesting sights and inspirations. Once you've had enough browsing and buying, you can stroll up and down nearby streets and have a look at the other trendy shops around. There's plenty of cafes and restaurants, including a Max Brenner, especially hand if you need a chocolate fix after working up a shopper's appetite!

The Bustling Markets

My favourite hot chocolate:)

Mosman, Taronga Zoo and Balmoral Beach

I recently went to Mosman, Mosman is a must-see area of Sydney, especially the famous Taronga Zoo! One of the best zoos in the world with it's spectacular view of Sydney Harbour. There are various modes of transport to get to Taronga Zoo including Bus, Ferry or Cruises. If you're on holiday, the ferry is something you just have to experience!

Well Mosman is not just all about Taronga Zoo, there are many attractions, especially eateries and restaurants! There are lots of restaurants in the area, with magnificant views of both Manly and Watsons Bay, as Mosman is an island like suburb in the middle of the two!

There is a beautiful beach in Mosman called Balmoral beach is a must go as well, one of the secret hidden gems of Sydney. You can easy spend all day in the restaurants or cafes just enjoying the excellent view of the beach, the smell of the ocean and feeling that fresh sea breeze. It doesn't get much better than this!

Fancy a Romantic Walk?

Beautiful La Perouse and Sydney East.

I just got back from La Perouse, a beautiful suburban area, with lots of different beaches! It's located in the south east of Sydney, near the University Of New South Wales.
If you have time I highly recommend you too to look around other areas in the Eastern Suburbs. Of course when you think of the east you would think of Bondi Beach, but there are a few more beautiful beaches such as Bronte, Coogee Beach, Tamarama and some more beaches in the south east area near La Perouse.
You should also visit Double Bay, it's a blend of trendy fashion lifesytyle with lots of trendy fashion boutiques and up market property, of course if you are into fashion you definitely will need to spend a day in Paddington, near Double Bay. Watsons Bay is also another attraction beautiful views across Sydney looking north you can see other fantastic places, such as Mosman and Manly and to the west you can see Sydney Harbour and the city.
What a way to spend the day!

Korean BBQ!

Saturday night at the Sejong Korean BBQ in Carlingford is a great place to go if you want to try an asian style 'all-you-can-eat' buffet. The place packs out pretty quick, so you should book ahead to make sure you get a seat! At $30 per person, it's not too expensive, especially for all you can eat, and the drinks are cheap too!
I went with a group of my uni friends last night and it was so much fun! You cook it yourself, and so you can get the perfect cooking style every time. There's salads too for those that aren't huge meat-eaters.
Then after eating, take a stroll to the park around the corner and look out over the urban sprawl, under the stars. Cliche but really relaxing, and gives the food some time to settle down!!

Korean BBQ Action!

Chatswood Thursday and Friday Market

I just went to the Chatswood market! It's on every Thursday and Friday each week from early around 10 am in the morning to around 9pm in the night. I highly recommend going here to have a look around, there's so much food!
You can shop there for snacks or buy your lunch or dinner there. There are lot of different types of food ranging from Taiwanese desert to Spanish seafood fried rice. The price of the food available there is relatively cheap, most under $10, also very big proportion for big eaters.
One of the best places there is the Japanese BBQ shop, where you can buy Takoyaki and Japanese style pizzas. I got a photo of a Japanese pancake with Terayaki chicken to show you all. It's so good! I highly recommend it, plus it's cheap, at only $9! Another must see shop is the Taiwanese dessert shop, the desserts are really traditional style desserts.
